"Teacher of the Year" Wins Laurels!

I’m proud to announce that Teacher of the Year, the feature-length film I wrote, directed, and produced last Spring, has been accepted into two film festivals and has been nominated for - and won - awards!

The film, which was produced by me with help from Cotuit Center for the Arts and Eventide Theatre Company, was originally released as a 12-episode limited series broadcast online.

Film Fest International London

Teacher of the Year has been accepted as an official film of the FFI London film festival that runs in early February in 2022. The film has also been nominated (and is a finalist) if four categories:

  • Best Feature Film

  • Best Actress (Miranda Jonté)

  • Best Director (Jim Dalglish)

  • Best Sets

I can’t wait to travel to London in February to attend the festival, walk the red carpet with Miranda, and attend the awards.

New York Neorealism Film Festival

The film also won the Best Indie Narrative Feature at the New York Neorealism Film Awards.

I’m so happy this film has been recognized - particularly as it is my first feature film.
